The Drystones

The Drystones are a young  (18) lively folk duo from Priddy in Somerset playing violin, guitar and whistle, who have made a big splash since they formed in July 2011. They won the 2011 Mid Somerset Battle of The Bands, have played festivals all over the West Country (including Glastonbury, Sidmouth, Village Pump, Purbeck and The Sunrise) where they engage audiences with a maturity beyond their years.
Their first album was made Album of the Week by Emma Britton on BBC Somerset who describes them as the "Heston Blumenthals of Folk"! A track off of this album featured in the Autumn 13 FATEA showcase session (http://www.fatea-showcase-sessions.co.uk/). They  released their new album "A Tale of Sound and Fury" in early 2015, which has been well received. For just two people they make a lot of sound, you will not be bored!
