Lada Valešová

Lada returns once more to Stogumber, where she has a strong popular following, with the story of her own musical journey which she calls ‘From Brezhnev to Britain’ (via Stogumber)! She will transport us on a journey through Russia and the Czech Republic, where she grew up, and then to London where she studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The recital has a narrative devised and performed by Lada. The programme consists of carefully- selected pieces that are significant to her development as a musician. It was originally titled ‘Journeying Girl’ and was premiered at the historic Garrick Club in March 2014 where it met with a highly enthusiastic reception - “She is like a female Victor Borge – a brilliant pianist and a very witty raconteur.”
